AFAIK only way to see cap in a NMPRG is linkedit listprog , which gives a
lot more - segment data and routine name, but back at the top gives a cap
list. For CM progs, I use an old thing called proginfo.
The users, program issuing the RUN command, and the group that program lives
in all need PH capability. The subject programs of the RUN do not need it,
unless they also do a RUN of something else...

Robert,

All of our menus use "RUN " in all the calls. I was curious about the PH cap
for the programs, so I checked up a little. Our compile script does not
specify
any capabilities, so I checked on the users. Now, I did not set up these
users, but
it seems all the users have the PH cap set. I don't know what the
implications
are of that, but it has been working for us for more than 15 years now. On a
side
note, how do you see the existing capabilites of an already compiled
program?
I don't see any obvious clues in any of the listf or listfile options.

Thanks,

Gordon
