Terminal (from Win3.1) and Hyperterminal (Win95) won't work because they
both assume a serial connection through a COM port.  You could try the
Minisoft program or KEA from Crosstalk, both of which cost less than
Reflection and promise network capability (I presume that's what you're
looking for when you say "dedicated network").

I just tried the Trumpet Telnet client over the Internet and it works fine
in character mode.
