I find that there is a double standard at work here.  It seems ok to joke of
death, but talk about the three sacred topics and people get out of joint.  That
on to itself is no sweat.

The point that I have a problem with is the threat of talking to ones HR dept.
What is up with that.  Granted, it was stupid and should be ignored.  But to go
after someone's job, that's going too far.  I've been on the wrong end of that
firing line, on trump up reasons.  I resent anyone who would do such a low thing
as to run to a persons HR dept. just because they where offended by something
stated.  GET REAL!!!

I suggest, my friends, that if we are to allow any off topic emails, then we
take the risk of being offended.  For those who are, the writer should be sorry
for the offense.  Then let it go.

The writer, Al Karman, is a friend of mine.  And yeah he says stupid things
sometimes.  But at least when he is sorry, it is from the heart.  Unlike people
who screw with people's livelihoods.
