Ron,

Check your device mapping in NETTOOL (NAMEADDR, MAPPINGS, MAPPING will show
IP mapping to MAC addresses) and if it's there delete the IP mapping to the
old device (DELMAPPING):

   [5]NAMEADDR.MAPPINGS>>>delmapping
   Address to delete: <enter the old IP address here>

You might also check and make sure it's not listed in your Directory
Services (throwback to before we had DNS and/or hosts files). Get into
NMMGR, press 'Open Directory' then 'Update Directory' and see if it's
listed. If so, delete it.

Neither of these require any further NETCONTROL usage.
