Frank,
Quad uses a 'work file' where changes are kept until a 'keep' command is
performed. Be default that file is built as: 'Rec=768,,F,Binary;Disc=2048'.
What has probably occurred in your case is that the work file ran out of space
while trying to perform the indicated change.
You could perform the indicated change in sections, 'keeping' the file after
each section or you could set the JCW "QUADFILESIZE", before running QUAD, and
change the default work file size to something larger (Do not exceed 32767).
Keep in mind that QUAD will put multiple file records in each 'work file' record
and thus one does not have to make the work file as large as the file being
edited.

Subject: Quad error

Hello,
I'm getting an unusual error while using Quad, and I can't tell what the
problem is. My input and the error message are as follows:
/CH 6/8 TO "", ALL
Error in work file procedure GET'WORK'KEY
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
File system error
END OF FILE (FSERR 0)
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
What gives? Quad hasn't done this to me before... The file is ASCII, and I am
able to use Quad for other manipulations before this one.
TIA,
Art Frank
