Actually while the 3k cant auto-magically switch to the good controller, it
does know about it. You should be able to re-configure your ldevs/luns in
sysgen to point to the good controller, after a start norecovery you should
be able to see the discs.

Hmm. Sounds like a blown controller. Sounds like you have two
controllers, and the live controller is now managing both LUN's.
However, MPE/iX isn't quite smart enough. Your options, if you have a
blown controller, are to replace the controller, or unbind the LUN's
from the bad controller and bind them to the good one. Unbinding a LUN
destroys the data on the disks, though, so you will have to do a
complete backup/restore, and redo all the VOLUTIL stuff on MPE/iX when
you do that.
Is your Nike on support from HP? If not, you might be able to get
another controller pretty cheap from most of the HP used hardware
vendors.
