In our 10+ year history of web presence, I can honestly state that I
have never bounced a subscriber because of content (only mail-bounce
type problems delivering postings to them). I have flamed a few in
the past, a few regretfully so, but the readership these days seems
to keep things in check so there is little or no "moderation" in
place here (at the cost of the occasional spam).

This is an open forum where anyone can take up their soapbox if they
wish; just remember that the audience these days has an ample supply
of tomatoes and water balloons and such :-)

With that said, I really, REALLY hope Jerry was kidding about the vendor
boycott of the list next month. One of the premises of the
list was to get user-to-vendor (particularly HP) communication out of
the closet and into the public forum on a regular basis, rather than
the once or twice a year conference when you *might* get past the
salescritters long enough to talk face to face with a real lab tech.
