Peter, the

ALTGROUP whatevergroupyourprogisexecutingfrom;CAP=PH

gives ONLY PH capability to the group.

If, as another pointed out, you did

ALTGROUP whatevergroupyourprogisexecutingfrom;CAP=+PH

you would add PH to whatever had been there.

To get back to where you were, do a
ALTGROUP whatevergroupyourprogisexecutingfrom;CAP=+IA,BA,SF,ND

We typically used

CAP=IA,BA,PH,DS,SF,ND

and sometimes MR if we had somebody doing multiple locking (2 data bases
open); The DS was for Data Segment handling.
Note that a Group cant have MORE capability than the account it lives in. PM
should only be used VERY spareingly outside SYS account, as it enables Priv
Mode calls, and opens all sorts of worm cans.

These are the instructions I was given -

1- Logon as MANAGER.SYS
2 ALTACCT accountname;CAP=PH,IA,ND,SF,BA
3 Logon as MGR.account
4 ALTGROUP whatevergroupyourprogisexecutingfrom;CAP=PH

So perhaps I get the IA and BA from the "ALTACCT" command? But if
that was true, would other accounts in my group get IA and BA?
