I am also looking for a way to access my SQL Server databases from the 3000.
I checked the above links and from what I saw on their web sites:

SQLLink3000: Looks interesting, is anyone using this?

Imaxsoft: No idea, I will not deal with a company that requires me to
register with them to read their product information.

Bridgemaster: Looks interesting, but an exceptionally ugly and hard to read
web site, is anyone using this?

MPE/iX Enterprise Client: Does not list SQL Server as a supported database
