In general, I agree. However, it is interesting to note that many
folks spend MORE time on this forum, even if only lurking, than they
ever did attending conferences. We pick and choose between all items
competing for our time based on value received.
Speaking for myself, I get more out of regular interaction on HP3000-L
supplemented by sporadic attendence at conferences and user group
meetings.
