I have a fairly urgent need to connect a Hayes compatable modem to a
DTC/72MX DDP RJ45 terminal port. The modem is a Practical Peripherals
PM288MT II V.34. Does anyone know the correct RJ45 to DB25 pinouts (and
other pointers) to make this work?
I have tried:
A terminal adapter/null modem adapter combo. With and without pins 2 &
3 reversed.
And, a printer adapter (with and without a null modem adapter) pinned as
follows:
RJ45 DB25
1 ----- 2
3 ----- 3
4 ----- 20
6 ----- 7
I don't see any other combinations in the "DTC Cabling and Racking Guide"
that might work.
BTW - the modem has default settings with the exception of S0=1 (for auto
answer). I can connect to the modem - but, get no response from the DTC.
Many thanks,
Steve
