Side note about political analyst:

<gripe mode on>

I was watch Jeopardy last Friday and they had 3 political analyst on. I
don't remember their names, one was from NBC (I think his last name is
Russet?), one was a woman and the other a black guy.

The final question was, how many Senators were there in the Senate in
1958.

They all got the wrong answer the nbc guy said 100, the black guy said
98 and the woman said 46. To defend her answer she replied, "Oh I just
counted the states not the senators!!!) "WRONG AGAIN, strike 2"

If these are the talk heads that people listen to for their "factual
news bytes" no wonder we have so many apathetic voters.

People need to turn off the TV's and do their own research. Listening
to others point-of-view should only leave you with questions not
answers.

This is what I have been saying. While this editorialist is not someone
I think I would regularly quote, and there are large parts of this
article I disagree with, here are two quotes:

<quote>
Hearing this, I almost wondered if there is any such a thing as a fact
any more-or if, at this point, there is only religion and art. Such
violence to context done by pols and polemicists. For this I blame not
only Republicans but reporters, too. It's all a matter of taste, now. As
a high-school friend told me when we were arguing over whether WMDs had
or had not been located in Iraq, "You have your sources of information
and I have mine.''

...

Anyone who still thinks Bush is unintelligent is not even worth arguing
with. </quote>
