In your server profile, in the "General" tab, check the protocol setting.
It looks like you are NOT using the WTRSH protocol, which is for the
HP3000 only. Telnet should work on the HP3000, if Telnet is configured,
but WTRSH works better.
In the general tab of the server profile you'll see a protocol
window/field. If it is not WTRSH you can change it as follows:
Highlight the current protocol, Click on Install, choose WTRSH, click
OK, answer yes to remove the current protocol. << server profile can not
be connected while doing this>>
If you want to use Telnet then, Is Telnet running on your HP3000? maybe
under/in INETDJ
