Hmm, that's an interesting question. Getting the files there using FTP
(binary) or SCP usually the easiest part of the whole enterprise. The hard
part is the actual installation on any kind of *nix platform. Oracle
provides some instructions here
https://docs.oracle.com/database/121/HIDQI/toc.htm though they usually only
tell part of the story. Has the box had an instance of Oracle installed on
it previously? If so, the C build tools, the kernel parameters, etc. that
are usually the most frustrating aspects of installing oracle may be "mostly
done". If not, you might want to find someone who has done it before to
help you. Moreover, have you used 12c before on any platform? It is
sufficiently different than previous versions that could cause you some
grief as well.

Subject: oracle 12c on HPUX

I am looking to put oracle 12c onto a HPUX box.

I have the files on my PC in zip format.

What I need are the step to be taken to move the files onto the HPUX box and
then get it installed there ?

Can anyone give me instruction on how to do this ?

Olav.
