Open Office comes with (I think) the same English-US dictionary as StarOffice
(I used to use StarOffice 6 beta). We downloaded an open-source
English-Canadian dictionary through a link somewhere on the OpenOffice.org
web site. OpenOffice is short on templates but I just copied the ones from
StarOffice 6 beta and converted all the free Word templates available in the
depths of Microsoft's site (they have some funny Javascript that makes it
very tricky to download the actual templates). OpenOffice opens Word template
files without a hitch, sometimes an image will be misaligned or something but
nothing a quick hand-tweak doesn't solve.
