Why restore the files? It will be far faster to cannabilize the "spare"
system for spare parts to fix what is wrong with the "production system".
We have mirrored every disc drive on the system (RAID for sys vol set),
and configured the IO path so that mirrors are on separate cards/channels.
There are now a minimun of "single failure points" that I have to worry about.
For very little money, you can have a shelf of spares (or complete system)
and drop your potential downtime to a very small number, and probably save
money to boot.

Am I missing something???
9x7 systems are so cheap nowdays that the money that you have to pay for one
year support will buy you 2 remarketed complete systems.
Why don't you buy a clone for your machine and if anything goes wrong, you
just need to restore the files... (I will guarantee that this will beat
anybody's 4 hour respond time).
