I have a 2563A printer at a remote site. This printer has an HP parallel
interface card in it and is connected to a Novell LAN via an HP JetDirect
box. This LAN is connected to my HP3000 via a frame relay link. This
configuration has been working fine (after some intitial problems with the
number of LAN segments - too many repeaters).

Recently however, the printer seems to be replacing 0's with 2's (make for
interesting dates) and D's with F's.
It doesn't replace every occurance. When the reports are printed to a
different printer, all is fine.
I therefore think the problem is in the printer, and not the software. I
guess it could be a datacomm problem (noise on the line), but I doubt it
would be so consistant if it was noise.

My hardware support company thinks it is not a hardware problem.
I run the same object code to many other printers and have never had this
problem anywhere else.
Any thoughts, comments?
