Very good point. I disabled the UDC's in STRMUDCX.PUB.VESOFT and tried it,
still no luck. I invite VESOFT to respond to this.
Also, the test file, X.EBEN, looks like this (passwords removed from the
message post):
!JOB TEST,MGR/<pw1>.aihbeta/<pw2>
!echo 123
!eoj
Passwords have been embedded into the file. A standard interactive STREAM
X.EBEN statement works without any problem.

This could be a long shot but if I am reading your
email correctly it seems that you have the STREAM
command set up to call STREAMX. If this is true,
could FTP and STREAMX have problems with each other?
