I have always started the network and loop before I start services.
(netcontrol before nscontrol).
The store and forward buffers warning is usually a wash, 2nd time you do a
validate, it won't say that.
That other stuff sounds more fundamental. If your only network link is the
Multifunction I/O card, I think your link should be DTSLINK. And it looks
like your NMMGR screen isn't configured at all for the NEXPORT.NI screen.
