Lots of words flying around about this topic....

However, a couple of things puzzle me.

1. Who has decreed that every PC of the future will be on the WWW? - why
else would you build a OS around a browser, unless the PC is networked? I
would have thought that the code for making everything run through a
browser was a lot slacker and slower than tight code written for the
specific purpose of putting information onto your screen in the shortest
period of time - or am I missing the point about the latest releases of
bloatware, and should be thinking of upgrading (again - groan) my CPU,
motherboard and RAM?

2. When I convert my PC to an Apple MAC, by the simple option of moving
the taskbar up to the top of the screen, how come I can't locate 'Finder'
on the right side of the taskbar - why did MS leave this useful bit out ?

Please reply to the list - as I'm changing jobs as of 24th Dec, and so the
originating email address will be null and void from the 25th. If you do
however have a burning desire to email direct, try
[log in to unmask] and I'll reply as soon as I can.

PLEASE READ THIS PART

Happy holidays to you all, and may you HP's hum gently.

Be restful and at peace with the world.... unlike the NT administrators,
who'll be working, fixing things again.... :)
