In addition to the previous ideas, if you want a clean job termination you
can do the following.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Exiting a job before EOJ
Fellow listers,
I'm looking for a way to exit a store job before
starting the store operations if someone is accessing
a database. I've got MPEX LISTF ..., ACCESS to check
but have gone brain dead on how to end the job if
MPEXNUMSUCCEEDS > 0. Any help is appreciated.
John
