Good comments from both Ken and Lee. I've found that a common reason why a
dynamic expansion does not take place is a 'smart feature' that some
programs have, where they 'look ahead' to ensure there are enough entries
left in the dataset before actually writing to the dataset. Since DDX
triggers on the dataset being apparently full (FreeEntry count = 0), this
feature never allows IMAGE to trigger a dynamic expansion. HPDesk was one
of the major application with this feature and for a while did not allow
HPDesk users to take advantage of DDX.

Cordially,
