VIEW is a proprietary screen driver that runs on Classic and RISC HP 3000's.
I don't know of any equivalent on the 9000. VIEW is a block-mode
application, and the progranning for block-mode apps on the 9000 is very
tricky. VIEW is commonly knows as V/PLUS.

You can find lots of information about the VIEW user-interface in the
following manuals:

HP Data Entry and Forms Mgmt. Sys. (VPLUS) Technical Addendum
                                                        (32209-90021)
HP Data Entry and Forms Management System (VPLUS/V) (32209-90001)
    Using VPLUS (32209-90004)
HP 3000 Guide for the New User (32033-90009)
    MPE Commands Reference Manual (30000-90009)
    MPE Intrinsics Reference Manual (30000-90010)
    MPE Software Pocket Guide (30000-90049)
    Using Files (30000-90102)
Native Language Support Reference Manual (32414-90001)

You will also need the technical manual for the particular terminal that
is using the VIEW app. You can probably forget about VT-class terminals!

A really good source of information, of course, is the HP CD-ROM MPE/iX
manuals. (Order 50726-10193) You will also need the HP-UX manuals,
CD-ROM part number 50726-10157.

Good Luck!

(Did I mention VPLUS/Windows? Hah! That's another whole can of worms.)
