Okay, this is an odd one. I have a customer who applied a couple of
reactive patches yesterday to his system using Patch\iX.
Unfortunately, the first time through he specified the wrong tape
drive and created the CSLT on a reel tape. No, big deal, I just told
him to start over. He did, told Patch\iX not to recover and all was
fine and dandy. This time he specified his DDS tape, created the
CSLT and booted from it without a problem. When he ran Phase II of
Patch\iX the system asked for the tape on his reel drive! The system
said that LDEV 8 (the reel tape) was not ready. Fortunately, he had
the tapes he accidentally created so he used them and everything
worked fine.

The question is: Was this something that was set by his mistake the
first time and for some reason just not overwritten when he started
Patch\Ix the second time or is this something that is set someplace
that he may have to worry about in the future?

Any ideas?

Thanks!
