If you are driving with out of state plates, especially in a truck - you will very likely get a ticket in Ohio.
They know you will most likely not want to come back and spend a few thousand dollars to fight the ticket.
Also, there will be no points on your license since they do not report back to your state DMV unless you don't pay.

Rockwell Automation has a plant the southern Ohio town of Gallipolis. To
get there we have to fly into Columbus and drive 2 hours south down through
Chillicothie. We have it documented in the company trip planner to set
your cruise control at 55 or lower when making this trip. We drive by alot
of state patrol headquarters on this route. Prior to their credit card
machines, you had better have cash with you or you were taken back to one
of the headquarters.

Local heresay is that the stringent speed control is Ohio State Patrol
trying to stop drug trafficers that they believe were coming up from West
Virginia and into Columbus.

If you are ever near Gallipolis, don't forget to stop at the "Bob Evans
Ranch". The "Ground Hog" is excellent! Don't know if it is served at the
other Bob Evan's or not.
