Duane Percox wonders:

hmmm. It may not be IBM planning it.

It might be an 'inside' job?

HP-UXers?

This could be serious, folks. What if HP gets the message and gets
serious with MPE-iX again?

The future (survival) of other operating systems would be more
interesting.

When your future is at stake, sometimes you tend to get excited and
do things such as HiJacks, kidnaps, etc.

Speaking of kidnaps. If THEY kidnapped the Giant Poster (and got
MPE-iX), then they could change the name and sell the product as
their own open (NEW) system.
