essentially does all of the things you need to learn for your spoolfile
scanner.

MAILSPF does a :LISTSPF, parses the output to extract the individual spoolfile
IDs, then ends up calling CAT.HPBIN.SYS to copy the spoolfile output.  It would
be just as easy to call GREP.HPBIN.SYS instead of CAT.

This will work for spoolfiles that are still being created too.
