I want to thank Gerald Crawford of HP's Afterhours Response center for
addressing my concerns. You may have read my previous message regarding
an afterhours service call that did not meet with my satisfaction. After
placing my message here I received a call from Gerald as he wanted to
resolve my problem. He did so to my satisfaction. It seems that HP has
changed its "follow the sun" approach to afterhours support and have set
up a new facility to handle such calls. While this service is no longer
free it is still offered. It now cost approx an additional 10% or so for
this support.
Gerald will also be addressing the reason I placed my message here in the
first place. That reason is that I could not find anyone in authority at
HP to talk to regarding my dissatisfaction. Gerald assured me that issue
will be resolved sortly.
In closing I would like to thank Gerald for his professional and
courteous response to my issue. I would also like to point out that it is
because I have come to expect such a high level of satisfaction from HP
that I would even have expected someone to address my concerns.
Thanks Gerald for restoring my faith in HP.
Best regards,
Dennis McCabe
