Hi all,

First time posting in here.  Longtime HP3000 person.  Quick question.
We currently have an HP3000 A-500 140 2 way running a client server 
application using an Image DB and ODBCLink as the middleware.  

Would a RP3440 2 X 1 Ghz PA8900 CPU -4 GB memory, compare in speed 
preformance, etc.  We are going to convert the image DB to Oracle.

Just trying to get an idea. Figured some people must have migrated some 
things.  Any help would be apprieciated.  You can email me directly if you 
have any info also.

PS : If I need to post any other info, please let me know.  I have been 
asked to run a benchmard program on both servers, but do not know of one 
that would run on both, or if somebody has this information already.  HP 
does not seem to have this information.
