Can anyone help me in estimating TRUE perfomance capabilities of new HP3000
959/100 - 959/300 machines?

Based on HP's literature, they should be able to pull up to 800 users, and
still provide optimum performance. (Average users running database
applications)

Based on past experience, I have little confidence in those high end numbers.
Example: my current HP3000/70 has high end number of 400 users within optimum
processing range, however, it literally 'dies' at 100-110 user level. (Again,
running average database look-up applications)

What about data on new machines? Are they really that powerfull, or my
response time will 'allow for frequent coffe breaks'?

Thanks for any info. that you can provide.

Val
