While I think the SETI project is fun, why don't we use our computing power
for something more constructive like Cancer Research?

It certainly has a greater possibility of affecting our lives more directly
if the research done with our computing power provides answers to cancer
research compared to analyzing the data from satellites.

The web site to check out is http://www.parabon.com/cac.jsp

I realize that this won't be as interesting or "FUN" as the SETI project,
but once you have lost someone to cancer that you care about, it seems to
have more possible impact.

Thanks for your time.
