The enclosure can be split into two halves by removing the jumper
cable. In this case the box can be used by two controllers not
necessarily in the same CPU. The same sheet metal is used for the
F/W/D box to address all of the slots.
 The good news is that used systems are available. Anyone who has
an LX (2 slot I/O backplane) rapidly finds out that the system isn't
very expandable.
 Maybe you have a half-size slot left for another SCSI-SE card?
