I'm not sure who the people are you want to log into the system. If you want
people who have VT access, this can be done directly using Reflection the
remote pc's, using a VT connection, and then through a router to the HP3000.
VT is a routable protocol.  I do this daily via the Internet from Seattle to
the Bay area.
 
If you want to allow users to come in via telnet, there is a product that runs
on the DTC (don't know the details).  I know that using an HP9K as a front end
and then using VT3K over the local lan to the HP3K works. (I do that all the
time too).
 
Or you can wait until MPE 5.5 ships sometime this year.  It is supposed to
have inbound telnet supported native on the HP3K.
