Yes, there's one VERY important thing regarding UDC catalogs which I
learned when doing a 5.5 -> 6.0 upgrade, and it may apply to your situation
as well. I documented this thoroughly a few years ago. Make sure you read
the whole thing, as the meat of it is toward the end:
