Well she's probably also sponsored legislation increasing the pension
benefits for US Senators...don't forget how much time that takes to bury
so nobody can see it.  The new gymnasium, and being able to keep excess
campaign contributions...those took time to support.  So it's not like she
wasn't doing ANYTHING.

My nephew, a PhD grad from a major university, and I have decided that the
USA probably has the most corrupted (or close to it) national government
of any in the western hemisphere.  It's time to start holding elected
representatives accountable, and it starts at the grass roots level. 
You've got to get involved and start watching how they vote.  Demand that
they hold regular town hall meetings so they have to answer to their
constituents on a regular basis.  It's no different than any other vendor
you deal with...if you give them an open credit line and don't audit them,
they'll use it all up and you'll be stuck with the tab.
