We automatically buy manuals for every printer that HP manufacturers (and
we've undoubtedly had in the past LJII manuals, but they're so old now that
we've almost certainly thrown them out to make room for newer manuals). Thus,
unfortunately as far back as our library of LaserJet manuals now go is
LJIII's. However the table of error messages is probably unchanged from
LJII's to LJIII's.

Nonetheless, the news is not good if you want to understand the cause of
Error 51. The manual simply says for errors 51, 52, 54, or 55: "If any one of
these errors appear, press CONTINUE to resume operation. Some data loss may
occur."

With that little bit of information, you now know everything HP feels that
you should know.
