I'm in the process of setting up a frame relay link to connect off campus
sites to our T1 Internet connection.  Installation is scheduled for the
first week in October so we'll see how well it goes then :)
 
I just purchased a Kentrox T1 CSU/DSU from Annixter for $900.  This unit was
recommended to me by our Internet provider so I am assuming (hoping) it is a
good device.  I'm sure you can find good deals on used routers, although
since we get a 30% educational discount we are buying new.

Fellow netters;
 
  As we're looking into various frame-relay and fractional-T1 options
(to Internet) we're faced with several new hardware options, among which are
the AdTran T1 CSU/DSU (~$1600) and a Cisco 2501 Router (~$2500).
Plans call for a 56kb frame link, with potential to go to a fractional-T1 in
near future...
  Any opinions on the above? Is this stuff available used? (Would it be
worthwhile to even look into buying it used?)
  Any advice to someone new to frame-relay?
