The MPE Forum, which consists of the leaders of all of the SIGs,
agreed to place a voting cap on this particular item so that it
would not get all (or almost all) of the votes. CSY clearly
recognizes that the majority (but not all) of those voting want
CSY to allow MPE to continue in some form beyond 2006. At the
same time there could be SIG items that are important for folks
migrating or for homesteaders that need, say, larger disk drive
support to take them past 2006. If item 1 got all of the votes
then there might be more pressure on CSY to downsize sooner rather
than later, and that won't help anyone...

My thoughts,
 Jeff Vance, CSY
