We have two LPQ-1000 printers. We continue to have problem where the LED indicator says RIBBON STALL See Manual. Of course, there is nothing in the manaul.

HP support comes out and replaces the ribbon motors, hubs, and sometimes the ribbon guides and the printer is back in operation.

The first time we called in the problem the response center says, "never heard of that error". Well, we've had the problem on one printer four times and on the other printer two times in the past five months. We've had the printers for over two years.

So, is anyone else having the RIBBON STALL problem repeatedly on an LPQ printer? Any ideas on why we'd have this problem this often?

thanks, bob
