Rather than PDFWriter - try Ghostscript with GSView from
http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/
For various reasons, I use Truetype fonts (rather than Type 1s), and have
set up the PostScript printer for Type 42 fonts in the font substitution
table. Works well under Win98SE.
It also allows you to use Word's embedded Print command to set up Acrobat
Bookmarks.
