Another item you can try, put one of those security timers people use on
their house lights between the UPS and the CPU set to go off for 1 minute
at midnight.  (With the AUTOBOOT flag enabled of course.)  The system
should come on with a POWERFAIL RECOVERY.  :-)

(Not serious again, either.)
