We had a disk drive crash a while back, HP came out and replaced it
and I restored all of the files on the system. Standard stuff.

After I had restored all of the files, I found that our operator had
gotten creative with the backup scripts and had split the operation
into two jobs to use both tape drives. This was a good thing, but in
creating the jobs, he used @[log in to unmask]@[log in to unmask]@.N@ etc. As a consequence,
we have lost all files and links in /etc, /usr, /dev etc...

Thanks to a great email from Lars Appel, about posix permissions, I
have been able to extract most of these files from
hfsfiles.hp36431.support using tar. But, I'm still missing all of
the curses library files and probably some links as well.

Can anyone help me recover the curses libraries and possibly recreate
the missing links? We are currenly on MPE/iX 5.5 PP3. I have all of
the installation and power patch tapes available.

Thanks!
