I was going to keep out of the HP3000 Price Guide comments
but to many good points have been made so here is my
comments.....
The price guide not only provided prices but also acted as a reference
for available products (both hardware and software). The 800
number may provide prices if the Customer knows what solution
they need. Often times the price book was where you found out the
disk drives you bought last year have now been obsoleted.
I second the motion that we still need the price guide. If pricing
has gotten to complicated then maybe its time to simplify the
process.
