I second that. My personal favorite is 'magnet' -- which no developer should
be without! (Seems the ol' memory isn't what it used to be, and you can't
beat magnet for finding where things are in a hurry!)

And once you DEVELOP an app, you better make sure it performs reasonably well.
Some of those performance tools can help you there.
