I have a customer with two of these printers.
When printing the same report (with barcode)
one printer prints the ascii data with only uppercase
letters. The other show the data with mixed case,
showing the true data with both upper and lowercase.
Could there be a setting on the one to upshift data,
and only print in uppercase?
searching hp.com on 2934a, I find a document with this:
Manual ordering
To obtain a printed copy of the 2930 Series Printer Owner's Manual, call 661-257-5565 and request Part Number 02932-90001. The cost per manual will be US$27.00; this cost includes printing, shipping and handling.
I/O configuration
Most printers have external switches which, when set, define a limited number of printer features and functions. On the 2930 series printers, a variety of features and functions are selected through SETTINGS, a mode entered by pressing just two keys on the printer's keypad. The process, with all the options, is too extensive to be covered in this document. Refer to Section 2 of the Owner's manual for detailed instructions that match the configuration needed for your use.
