From the Posix shell we would like to use the 'mailx' command to send
mail to other systems on our network. However, some of the text from
doing a 'man mailx' says the following:

  >>>>>>>The simplest kind of address is the login name of someone else
who uses your machine. You can also use network addresses here, but
mailx itself cannot send messages over a network; it requires some
sort of network server. MPE/iX Shell and Utilities does not include
  server software.<<<<<<<<<<<

Does this mysterious network server software exist?

  Thanks.
