HP seems hell-bent on slowly removing from HP-UX any vestige of
any HP-specific features.  It really makes you wonder why
there *is* an HP-UX kernel lab, and what they're doing.

Block mode support is just the latest in a *lonnnngggg* list of
worthwhile HP features that cost little or nothing to support ... and
yet were dropped, drastically affecting some users (and vendors).
Heck...*HP* has products not yet ported to HP-UX 11.0 because of
changes/deletions!

Looks like HP-UX needs to import some customer care concepts from
MPE land!

Hmmm...mayhap this (continuing loss of features) is a concern
Interex should be working on?
