The first three bytes of a NIC (or MAC) address is controlled by the
IEEE and assigned to specific vendors.  You can get lists of vendor
codes on the net, e.g.

     http://www.cavebear.com/CaveBear/Ethernet/vendor.html

The number above 00:60:47 appears on the above list as:

     006047  Cisco
