An old trick to get rid of unnecessary PRIV files is:

FILE T=$NULL
STORE PRIVFILE.group.acct;*T;SHOW;PURGE

I would think that if you were to sign on as the creator of the data base,
you could purge the data base using DBUTIL.  The other solution would be to
use MPEX to purge the data base as MANAGER.SYS.

There is a free utility called PURGER available form Allegro, which can
purge
PRIV files. Check at  http://www.allegro.com/software/#PROGRAMS
