Indeed. I was about to say that we've just popped the $1.00 per litre
price level in Melbourne, Australia. At 5 litres per gallon (is that right?),
that means AUD$5.00 per gallon. And at the roughly 50-US-cents exchange
rate, that means we're paying roughly US$2.50 per gallon. Now you know
why I got rid of my 3.5-litre 280SE Mercedes (but it **was** a dead glamorous
motor car and I miss it).
